The Government of Canada and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) are investing $44,250 to conduct a feasibility study which will analyze the economic and environmental impacts of a geothermal district energy system in Whitby, Ontario.

The Province has awarded a second geothermal permit to Fort Nelson First Nation to advance development of the Tu Deh-Kah Geothermal project at Clarke Lake.
